Terms and Conditions
Airport Transfers.
Airport shuttle bus transfer via Tourwise or Tropical Tours from Sangster's International Airport in Montego Bay can be arranged at a cost of approximately US$50 per person round trip.
Private transfers with a private car/driver is also available.
1-4 persons from Kingston US$150
1-4 from Montego Bay US$100.
Larger parties would require a minibus/bus service charged depending on individual circumstances. Please contact us for further information.
Confirmation of Bookings
A 25% initial reservation payment of the total vacation rental amount is due at the time of booking. Confirmation will only be given upon receipt of this initial deposit.
Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival date.
Payments may be made by credit card or Paypal.
Photo identification will be required at check-in.
Check in/out
Check-out time: 12:00 Noon; Check-in time: 14:00.
We’ll happily hold on to your luggage if you’d like more time at the beach but the management and staff accept no responsibility for the items and they are left at owner’s risk.
Room Deposit
A Visa or Master Card credit card will be required on check-in for incidental as a security deposit against breakages, damages or loss of property e.g.towels.
On check out, your room will be inspected and any items damaged or lost will be charged against your credit card
No Smoking Policy
There is strictly no smoking within the villa rooms. smoking is permitted around the pool
and in the garden areas. If our policy is ignored a cleaning charge of US$100 will
apply.
Room Occupancy
Rooms 1,2, 3 and 4 have a maximum occupancy of 2 adults.
Rooms 5,6 and 7 have a maximum occupancy of 4 adults.
Families should contact us and verify the number and age of children in the group in addition to the children.
Non-Guest Policy
For the security of all guest and staff at Villa Cocotero we request that you do not invite to the villa any person/s unknown to you before your trip.
Should you like to have family/friends visit you during your stay please inform the management.
Any damages or losses incurred by visiting friends/family of guests will be charged to that guest.
The environment at Villa Cocotero
We would encourage you to be considerate towards your fellow guests and keep to reasonable level any noise, especially at night. We would ask that children are supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
Please note that in a typical one week stay, fresh linens will be provided twice for the week.
Once at the beginning and again mid week.
Please ensure no taps are left running, lights are switched off and the air conditioning is turned off if you are not occupying your room or it will be done in your absence.
In specific cases involving medical requirements, please contact us so that we can make your stay more comfortable.
Swimming Pool
Use of the swimming pool at Villa Cocotero is at the discretion and own risk of the guests and Villa Cocotero assumes no responsibility for the supervision of swimmers.
Gratuity
If you wish to tip anyone who has been helpful, please feel free, it will be gratefully received.
General Cancellation/Refund Policy
Please contact us directly via e-mail telephone or in writing regarding cancellations.
For cancellations received:
Cancellation Policy: 45 Days Prior to arrival: Full refund on deposit.
Inside 45 days: Deposit forfeited, Nonrefundable.
30 or Fewer Days prior to Arrival. Or NO SHOW: NO REFUND and Final Payment (balance of stay) is also forfeited.
Hurricane Policy
If a Severe Tropical Storm or Hurricane Warning is issued for Jamaica, it is possible that we may decide to close the villa before or during your scheduled reservation. Should we close, you would be asked not to come so as to ensure your personal safety, or if you are already at the villa you may be asked to check out and depart the island early. In either of these instances, we would charge for the completed duration of your stay.
If a Tropical Storm Warning or Hurricane Warning is issued for Jamaica during your scheduled reservation, and we do not ask you to check out and depart the island early, should you decide to leave anyway, you will not be refunded or credited for the unused portion of your stay.
Guests who abandon the rooms of Villa Cocotero for any reason
whatsoever have no rights to compensation of any type.
Liability
Villa Cocotero assumes no responsibility for loss, damage or injury to person, property or otherwise resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, dangers incident to the sea, fire, breakdown of machinery, equipment, acts of the Government or other authorities, de jure or de facto, wars whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, customs regulations, delays or cancellation or changes in itinerary or schedule, or from acts or omissions of any kind or in any way related to the accommodation or transportation offered herein or due to any other cause
beyond the control of Villa Cocotero.
No warranty of safety is made by Villa Cocotero. Clients should use reasonable caution appropriate for living in a foreign country and in a house with a swimming pool. The villa, transportation carriers and other suppliers providing travel or other services are
independent contractors and not agents or employees of Villa Cocotero. Villa Cocotero is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, warranties, breaches or negligence of any such suppliers or for any personal injuries, death, property damage, or other damages or expenses resulting there from.
Specifically the client expressly releases Villa Cocotero from any and all
liability for property loss, personal injury or death occurring for whatever reason at Villa Cocotero, through use of the vehicle and or driver provided for guest's use, from its
transportation providers or from independent contractors.
These conditions constitute the entire agreement of Villa Cocotero and
the client, and they shall not be modified except in writing.
When you make a booking at Villa Cocotero you are agreeing to and are bound by the terms and conditions as set out above.
